Women In Jazz

Women in Jazz is a musical project dedicated to the voices, stories and artistic legacies of women in jazz.

The project explores the evolution of female expression within the jazz tradition, moving from iconic vocal figures to contemporary artists, while opening a dialogue with the present through original arrangements and compositions.

Through voice, piano and electronic tools, I reinterpret jazz standards, contemporary repertoire and original material, shaping a sound world that balances respect for tradition with personal research. Improvisation plays a central role, allowing the music to remain alive, flexible and deeply connected to the moment.

Women in Jazz is conceived not as a tribute in the traditional sense, but as a space of transmission and transformation — where musical heritage becomes a starting point for new narratives and perspectives.

The project is presented in different formats, from solo performances to a quartet configuration. In its quartet form, I am accompanied by Emek Evci on double bass, Mickael Le Van on electric guitar and Laurent Paranthoën on drums. The repertoire includes jazz standards, contemporary pieces and original compositions, performed in concert halls, jazz clubs, festivals and interdisciplinary artistic spaces.
